Who we are

Day Planner by MyKey is owned and run by MyKey Consulting Services LLC, Bothell, Washington. This page explains in plain language what the app keeps, who can see it, and how to have it removed.

What is kept in your account

Day Planner holds personal information about the person it supports. When you sign in, the app saves these things to your account:

• Your name and email address, used for sign-in
• Daily schedules, calendar events, transition checklists and daily wins
• Photos, pictures, voice recordings, videos and files you upload for schedules, rewards, stories and task steps
• Behavior information: goals, ABC (antecedent, behavior, consequence) records, token boards and rewards
• Communication information: phrases, communication board history and communication logs
• Sensory profiles, sensory breaks, calming strategies and calm plans
• Task analyses, teaching sessions and step-by-step data
• Social stories, video models, learning goals and learning paths
• Mood check-ins and feedback about the day
• Team notes, caregiver updates, live notes and team chat messages with attachments
• Your settings, including voice choice, switch access settings, a phone number for notifications if you enter one, and the caregiver password

What stays on your device

The Family Toolkit edition (the /toolkit page) works without an account and keeps everything in the browser on that device. Clearing the browser data removes it.

Who can see your information

• You and anyone who uses your sign-in. Everything you save, including schedules, behavior and communication records, sensory profiles, team notes, chat messages and settings, can be opened only by the account that created it. Other people who use the app cannot see it, and people who are not signed in cannot see or change anything.
• Caregivers and team members who share your device or your sign-in. The app does not share records between separate accounts. Team notes and team chat are kept inside your own account. Caregiver areas inside the app can be locked with a caregiver password that you choose. The app stores a scrambled version of that password, not the password itself.
• MyKey Consulting Services LLC, when needed to run the app, fix a problem or answer your request. If you have a question about who can see your information, email hello@mykeyplans.com.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising. Reports you create or print are yours to share. Please think carefully about who receives them.

Outside services the app uses

• Base44: hosting, database, file storage and sign-in for the app.
• AI services through Base44: when you ask the app to write a social story, make a picture, build a task analysis or create a report, the text needed for that request is sent to an AI service to create the result.
• ElevenLabs: when the app reads text aloud in the voice you picked, that text is sent to this voice service to make the audio.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google. Google tells the app your name and email address.

Calendar events are added only when you upload a calendar file yourself. The app does not connect to your calendar account.

Signing in

You can sign in with an email address and password, or with Google. The app does not see or store your Google password.

Having your information removed

You can edit or delete most entries inside the app. To have your whole account and its information removed, or to ask for a copy of what is stored, email hello@mykeyplans.com from the address you sign in with.

Children under 13

Children under 13 should not create their own account. A parent or guardian sets up and manages the account and decides what information to add about the child. If you believe a child under 13 made an account without a parent or guardian, email hello@mykeyplans.com and we will remove it.

Schools, clinics and agencies

Day Planner is a planning and support tool for families and teams. It is not a medical record or an official school record. If a school, clinic or agency uses the app, it is responsible for getting any permission its own rules require.

Keeping information safe

Information is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored with our hosting provider, Base44. No online service can promise perfect security, so please think carefully before adding sensitive details.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
